The Congress party has decided to hit the campaign trail in the five Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand with five guarantees given by former party president Rahul Gandhi. A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the Lok Sabha coordinators and senior leaders of the party on Saturday. The in-charge of the Uttarakhand Congress, Kumari Selja attended the meeting in a virtual manner.  In the meeting, Selja asked the party leaders to work dedicatedly and infuse enthusiasm in the party workers. She stressed on the booth level activeness of the party workers for taking the five guarantees- the Kisan Nyay guarantee, Shramik Nyay guarantee, Nari Nyay guarantee, Hissedari (participatory) Nyay guarantee and Yuva Nyay guarantee of Rahul Gandhi to the general public.  The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara assured the State in-charge that the workers will give a special gift of victory in all the five seats of the State to the party.  He said that efforts will be made to inform people about anti -people policies of the Union and State governments.  Mahara asked the party leaders to prepare a positive environment for the party candidates.  The in-charge interacted with all the coordinators and other office bearers of the party and took an account of the issues of their areas and the problems being faced by them. The meeting was also attended by vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Mathura Dutt Joshi, media advisor Amarjeet Singh, coordinator of Nainital Lok Sabha Govind Singh Kunjwal, Almora coordinator Jeet Ram, Haridwar coordinator Surveer Singh Sajwan, Pauri Lok Sabha coordinator Vikram Singh Negi and Tehri Lok Sabha coordinator Mantri Prasad Naithani. The chairperson of war room of the party for LS election Navin Joshi and others attended the meeting.
