Will put up reform plans before Niti Ayog: Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Rawat

NAINITAL: On the sidelines of the meeting of the BJP executive committee at Nainital on Saturday, CM Trivendra Rawat said that Niti Ayog should come to Uttarakhand and separately sit down with officers as the hill state is entirely different from other ones and its needs too. "Our state has different demography and problems and difficulties here are more than other states. We have also instructed to complete the repair work of all patches in pathway of Char Dhams.

NAINITAL: On the sidelines of the meeting of the BJP executive committee at Nainital on Saturday, CM Trivendra Rawat said that Niti Ayog should come to Uttarakhand and separately sit down with officers as the hill state is entirely different from other ones and its needs too. Terming meeting with the Ayog important, the CM said he will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra separately."Our state has different demography and problems and difficulties here are more than other states. We contribute in the world a lot in terms of environment. Also ours is a border state and related issues will be discussed," said the CM.He said that plans for development of the state will be put up before Niti Ayog in Delhi and the state will soon witness reforms in every sector.The CM announced a number of projects for the Nainital district worth Rs 450 crore including ring road for Rs 400 crore in Haldwani as well as a multi-story parking in Nainital worth Rs 50 crore.The CM also added that the Prime Minister may be coming for the opening of the Kedarnath temple on May 3. "Honorable Prime Minister's visit is expected in Kedarnath on May 3 on the day of opening of Kapats. We have also instructed to complete the repair work of all patches in pathway of Char Dhams. The police department, health department and other concerned departments have been instructed to provide requisite facilities for Char Dham yatra so that pilgrims from in and outside country do not have to face any problems," added the CM.Mentioning other sectors such as dairy, forest produce, the CM added that the state government has stock of Lisa and be auctioning it soon from which revenue of Rs 500 crore is expected. Commenting on mining, the CM said that no illegal activity is being permitted and revenue of Rs 285 crore has been collected against the set target of Rs 1000 Crore.On Saturday, two-day meeting of BJP executive committee kicked off in Nainital with chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, state finance minister Prakash Pant, tourism minister Satpal Maharaj, state BJP president Ajay Bhatt and almost all former CMs including BS Koshayri in attendance.
