Arrears on use of borewells in Dwarka, Palam to be waived: CM Arvind Kejriwal
| Sunday | 14th January, 2018
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced that he would waive off arrears on sewer charges for the use of borewells in south-west Delhi's Dwarka and Palam areas.
"Till the DDA data is furnished, outstanding DDA dues will not be enforced on residents," the CM said.
Residents of Dwarka and Palam have been complaining of water-crisis in their localities to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for the past two years.
The announcement was made during the inauguration ceremony of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Public Relation camp at the Delhi University's Deen Dyal Upadhayay College in Dwarka.
Water metres will be installed for those who wish to continue using borewells in these areas," he said.
