Delhi police arrest 3 for duping students

The Shahdara district of Delhi police has arrested three people, including two women, for duping students by offering them jobs in multi-national companies (MNCs) from Jagatpuri area on Thursday. The case came to light when several unemployed students alleged that they received calls and text messages for recruitment. According to the police, the accused have been identified as Ankush Kumar, who duped more than 50 people by promising them jobs in MNCs." Later we found out that a similar company is being run in Jagatpuri area by the same persons. On sustained interrogation, Ankush disclosed that he used to run such companies at various places.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Ankush Kumar, who duped more than 50 people by promising them jobs in MNCs. " The case came to light when several unemployed students alleged that they received calls and text messages for recruitment. On approaching them, the complainants met two female employees and they were briefed about the process of recruitment," said Nupur Prasad, Deputy Commissioner of police(Shahdara district). Police said the complainants were asked to deposit a sum of Rs 5000 per person. " But after few weeks when they tried to approach them for confirmation letter then they found that the accused persons had vacated the premises and the provided phone number were switched off," Prasad added. There were 30 more similar complaints. " Later we found out that a similar company is being run in Jagatpuri area by the same persons. A team was formed and a raid was conducted and on identification of complainants, two female employed of the forged company were apprehended," Prasad added. Later, on the instance, mastermind Ankush was also arrested. On sustained interrogation, Ankush disclosed that he used to run such companies at various places. Police have booked them under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
