Ms. Maliwal began her indefinite protest on April 13. Fast-track courts Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia reached the protest site on Tuesday and extended support to Ms. Maliwal’s demands. “Demands for fast-track courts and filling of vacancies in the Delhi Police should be immediately looked into. There were instances of rape earlier too but the biggest problem currently is that the accused are being protected. Once the Centre approves the proposal for fast-track courts, I can guarantee that Delhi will get all requisite finances from us. This fight is for all of us,” said Mr. Sisodia. ‘Waiting for PM reply’ “While I am expecting a reply from the Prime Minister, he has already left for London. What the country needs right now is a system to stop rapes and not lectures over social values,” said Ms. Maliwal.
