Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's private secretary Bibhav Kumar was questioned on Thursday in connection with the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash. According to the sources, more people are likely to be questioned by the Delhi Police. Kumar was questioned in the case of alleged assault on Prakash at Kejriwal's residence on February 19 night. "The replies submitted by Kumar are dissatisfactory and he might be called again to help in the investigation," police said. Police have already questioned the 11 MLAs who were present at the chief minister's residence during the meeting in which Prakash had allegedly been attacked. Kejriwal, VK Jain and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia were also present at the meeting. On February 23, a police team had examined the CCTVs installed at the chief minister's residence in Civil Lines area and seized the hard disk. The forensic report on the hard disk is still awaited. The alleged assault on the chief secretary had triggered a bitter tussle between the Delhi government and its bureaucrats. The Delhi Police had earlier told a court that during interrogation, Jain said that AAP MLAs Prakash Jarwal and Amanatullah Khan had allegedly surrounded the chief secretary and assaulted him. Earlier, the police had claimed that Kejriwal's former advisor Jain was questioned but later clarified that Kumar was quizzed at the Civil Lines police station. Jain was, however, questioned in connection with the case in February. Later in March, Jain resigned as Kejriwal's advisor citing personal reasons and family commitment. A senior officer said that they were likely to call Jain again soon as they need clarity on certain things. A 1984-batch IAS officer, VK Jain was handpicked by Kejriwal after he retired as CEO of Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB). Jain joined as the adviser to CM on September 2017. A close confidante of Kejriwal, Jain was responsible for all the meetings and handling of important documents related to the CM's office.
