Thunderstorm Alert! Massive dust storm with gusty winds, rain likely to hit Delhi-NCR region

"Thunderstorm with strong winds and rain likely to occur over places in and around Mahendragarh, Kosli, Gurugram, Manesar, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Noida and Greater Noida in the next two hours: India Meteorological Dept," the news agency ANI reported. The prediction has come a week after a high-velocity dust storm killed at least 53 people and left behind a trail of destruction across India. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a fresh warning about a thunderstorm, accompanied by gusty winds and moderate squall in several parts of northern India in the next two hours. The thunderstorms, which is the result of a new western disturbance in the Mediterranean Sea, lashed several parts of Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh along with low to moderate rains. Uttar Pradesh bore the brunt of the hailstorm which left at least 39 people dead, while 12 people including four children were killed in West Bengal, nine in Andhra Pradesh, and two in Delhi.

Uttar Pradesh bore the brunt of the hailstorm which left at least 39 people dead, while 12 people including four children were killed in West Bengal, nine in Andhra Pradesh, and two in Delhi.
