Direct admission to 50% of PG course seats

The university said the online entrance examination paper will comprise 100 questions, which need to be answered within two hours. CGPA scoreThis is the first time that DU students will have a Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) score. The entrance examinations for admission to PG courses will be conducted between June 17 and 21.

Admission to Delhi University for postgraduate programmes will be conducted in two categories this year. Half of the total intake will be filled by direct admission of DU students on the basis of merit. This mode of admission is not available to students from other universities. The remaining 50% of seats shall be filled through entrance examination and interview or group discussion, if any. DU students can register for both merit and entrance categories. The university said the online entrance examination paper will comprise 100 questions, which need to be answered within two hours. CGPA score This is the first time that DU students will have a Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) score. To convert the CGPA score to percentage, students will have to multiply the CGPA of all six semesters by 9.5, the university said. Each course has a unique eligibility criteria. Students will have to register themselves on the admission portal by June 6. They will have to return to the portal once they receive their qualifying examination results and update it. The entrance examinations for admission to PG courses will be conducted between June 17 and 21. The tentative date for announcement of results is July 4. Registration fee for SC/ST/PwD is ?250 and all other students is ?500 for each course. Those who wish to apply for more than one course will have to fill separate registration forms for each course. Applicants can use same login details to fill all registration forms but will be required to pay separate registration fee for applying to each course. Registered applicants will also have to provide preference for colleges that they would like to study in if there is a choice. The university has asked them to be careful while filling this option as no modification shall be allowed after submission of the form. The entrance test will be conducted in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar , Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi (NCR), Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram and Varanasi.
