Delhi: Private tutor molests student at Mansarovar Park institute

A case under section 354 A (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment) has been registered at Mansarovar Park police station. A teacher working at a coaching institute in North-East Delhi's Mansarovar Park area was arrested by the Delhi Police on Monday for molesting a girl inside the classroom. According to the police, the accused identified as Mohit (27) worked as a tutor at a private coaching centre in the Chanderlok area. The other students had no knowledge about a class being held on Sunday and hence the classroom was empty. The 18-year old girl who is a student of class 12 informed the police that the accused called her on the pretext of a class on Sunday.

According to the police, the accused identified as Mohit (27) worked as a tutor at a private coaching centre in the Chanderlok area. The 18-year old girl who is a student of class 12 informed the police that the accused called her on the pretext of a class on Sunday. The accused man then started misbehaving with the girl and touched her inappropriately. He also spoke to her in an indecent manner. Sensing that his intentions were not good, she immediately left the classroom and rushed home. The girl narrated the ordeal to her parents who then approached the police and lodged a complaint against Mohit. Based on the complaint, a case was registered and the accused was taken into custody on Monday. The other students had no knowledge about a class being held on Sunday and hence the classroom was empty.
