The rowdy son of a former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) parliamentarian was booked on Tuesday after he allegedly waved a gun at a couple following an argument and threatened them at the foyer of a five-star hotel in national capital Delhi. The Delhi police came into action after the video of the man showing the arrogance of power and egregious "VIP culture" went viral on social media and registered an FIR under the Arms Act and several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). We are coordinating with the Uttar Pradesh Police and teams are looking out for him,” PTI quoted Joint Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Ajay Chaudhary as saying. “We have added the relevant sections based on the video. A Look Out Circular (LOC) has been opened up for him,” he said. Senior party leader Sudhindra Bhadoria said that the accused was not a party member and demanded investigation and action against him. The incident doesn’t have any connection with BSP. He is neither a leader nor a member of the BSP,” ANI quoted Bhadoria as saying. Delhi Police issues show-cause notice to hotel Besides, the Delhi Police issued a show-cause notice to the five-star hotel The Hyatt Regency where the incident took place. The police alleged that there was negligence at part of the hotel. In the notice, the police have asked the hotel that why action should not be taken against it and given it 15 days time to respond to the notice. The hotel also released a statement and assured the authorities full cooperation.
