Hussain flags ‘violations’ at Pragati Maidan

The violations were found during a surprise inspection led by Delhi Environment Minister Imran Hussain with SDM (south), Delhi Police personnel and officials of SDMC, PWD and DPCC. The violations were found during a surprise inspection led by Delhi Environment Minister Imran Hussain with SDM (south), Delhi Police personnel and officials of SDMC, PWD and DPCC. This assumes significance as the petitioners opposed to the environmental clearance have claimed the NGT dismissed their plea despite the fact that the project commenced and continues to come up in violation of provisions of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.
