25yearold techie kills self in Gurugram hotel

GURUGRAM: A 25-year-old techie committed suicide at a hotel in Sector 55 on Monday night. After leaving him on the pretext of going back to Bangalore, she booked a hotel room and was staying there since Monday evening.On Tuesday afternoon, the hotel staff called police after they found her room locked and when she did not respond to their calls. “The hotel staff said that the woman had locked herself in. We broke open the door and found her body,” said inspector Narender Khatana, SHO, Sector 56 police station. Police handed over the body to her family after a post-mortem on Wednesday.Originally from Bhiwani district, Geetam was working with a private company in Bangalore.

Her body was found hanging from a ceiling fan on Tuesday.A suicide note was found at the spot and it revealed that she took her life because she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and couldn’t deal with her health issues. Police handed over the body to her family after a post-mortem on Wednesday.Originally from Bhiwani district, Geetam was working with a private company in Bangalore. On the ocassion of Diwali , she had come to Bhiwani to meet her family. On Monday, she left Bhiwani to visit her father who works in Gurugram and lives as a tenant in Basai village. After leaving him on the pretext of going back to Bangalore, she booked a hotel room and was staying there since Monday evening.On Tuesday afternoon, the hotel staff called police after they found her room locked and when she did not respond to their calls. Police broke into her room and found her body. She used bedsheets to hang herself late Monday night, they said.Police informed the family and they did not raise any doubt over her death. “The hotel staff said that the woman had locked herself in. We broke open the door and found her body,” said inspector Narender Khatana, SHO, Sector 56 police station.
