NEW DELHI: After technical snags that paralysed train services on Blue Line for three straight days last week, it was Magenta Line's (Botanical Garden-Janakpuri West) turn on Wednesday to face a technical glitch, which affected train operations.Commuters complained that trains were crawling on the corridor, apart from stopping at each station for close to 15 minutes."Took 1 hour from Kalkaji Mandir to Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh. Technical fault in Magenta line," tweeted Anshul Sethi, a commuter."I boarded the train at Nehru Enclave station and the train coming from Janakpuri West halted for at least 15 minutes at the platform," said Raghav Verma, a commuter. "The train was moving so slowly that I got down at the next station, Kalkaji Mandir and took an auto rickshaw instead," he said."The point (crossovers zone) as the train departs from Jasola Vihar towards Botanical Garden (Down Line) on Magenta Line is showing some signaling issue though physically alright since 12:05 pm," a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation DMRC ) spokesperson said. "As a result, trains between Jasola and Kalindi Kunj are running on restricted speed of 25 kmph as a part of 'fail-safe' mechanism, between these two stations leading to minor bunching as the trains approach in this section," he said."However, overall services on Magenta line are normal and authorised automatic speed in affected section will be restored as soon as the issue is sorted out by technical team," he claimed.
