| Saturday | 12th January, 2019
The Delhi BJP slammed the Delhi government for "openly" violating the orders of Election Commission by collecting personal information of students and their parents.
Addressing media persons, Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta said that the Directorate of Education under Delhi government had issued a circular on September 11, 2018, to collect private information of the parents.
"The AAP government is openly violating the orders of EC.
Although the EC has refrained the government from collecting data about parents yet they are collecting it and misusing it by making false phone calls and openly violating the orders of EC," Gupta claimed.
"We demand that election symbols of the AAP should be frozen and the recognition of the party cancelled for collecting personal information and harassing the people," he added.
