Karol Bagh hotel fire: People jump off the window to save themselves https://t.co/aRNDEs4QSx — TOI Delhi (@TOIDelhi) 1549940828000NEW DELHI: Two persons jumped off a hotel building in Karol Bagh area of Delhi in a bid to save themselves from a fire that killed 17 people on early Tuesday morning.Both the persons were hotel staff members and succumbed to their injuries, confirmed officials. 30 fire tenders had been rushed to the spot. We have to look for bodies, if any, inside the hotel. Those injured have been sent to hospital," deputy chief fire officer Sunil Choudhary said. The fire broke out in Hotel Arpit Palace in central Delhi's Karol Bagh at around 4.30am.A video of the incident showed two people jumping from the fourth floor of the burning building.At least 30 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire has been doused, the fire department said.
