The boy's father said that the boy was talking to friends in Navdisha Primary School on Saturday when the class teacher gave him the punishment. The parents of the eight-year-old boy were about to file a police complaint on Wednesday, but the school persuaded them to settle the issue amicably. "The teacher, Shweta, asked him to do non-stop sit-ups. When my son said his legs were hurting, she didn’t show any mercy," he clarified.
