Delhi girl raped by 2 men let into house by stepdad

The girl’s mother was ill and had gone to her village in Bihar. The tuition teacher had reported the matter to the police.The girl’s mother had moved in with the accused a year ago after the death of her husband. But later, while recording her statement before a magistrate, she mentioned the other two men as well.DCP (west) Monika Bhardwaj said the two were arrested from their houses.

NEW DELHI: Two men were arrested for raping seven-year-old girl . The girl’s stepfather allowed the two men in after they offered him a bottle of liquor . The stepfather used to also sexually assault her after getting drunk.The survivor had initially revealed her ordeal to her tuition teacher in Punjabi Bagh after which the father was arrested two days ago. But later, while recording her statement before a magistrate, she mentioned the other two men as well.DCP (west) Monika Bhardwaj said the two were arrested from their houses. The girl’s mother was ill and had gone to her village in Bihar. The stepfather, a rickshaw-puller, would return home drunk every night and sexually assault her. The two men were his drinking mates and also rickshaw-pullers, police said.The child was counselled at an NGO after the father’s arrest on Monday during which she had revealed her ordeal. The tuition teacher had reported the matter to the police.The girl’s mother had moved in with the accused a year ago after the death of her husband. When she fell ill too and had to go to Bihar, he promised to take care of the child in her absence, police said.Once the counselling is over, the girl will be handed over to her mother or a relative.
