New Delhi: Heavy voter turnout in Muslim areas despite ‘roza’

Photo: ANINew Delhi: Heavy voter turnout was witnessed in the national capital especially in north-eastern parliamentary constituencies of Muslim areas Seelampur, Jaffarabad, Maujpur, Brahmpuri, Noor-e-Ilahi, Mustafabad, Nehru Vihar, Chand Bagh, Khajuri, Nand Nagri, Seemapuri, Kabir Nagar, Kardampuri. According to Rashtriya Sahara upset with the present situation, the voters used their vote not only against BJP but also against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Despite the fasting month of Ramadan, a large number of men and women used their franchise. Such an awareness regarding the right to vote was seen for the first time which indicates that the people were suffering from several problems for the past 5 years. A tough fight was witnessed between Congress and BJP in most of the colonies of Babarpur, Naveen Shahdara, Subhash Mohalla, Rohtash Nagar, Ghonda, Khajuri Khaas, which are BJP bastion.
