Minister visits Tahirpur Leprosy Complex

NEW DELHI: Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam on Saturday visited Home for Leprosy and TB (HLTB) affected beggars, Tahirpur Complex to look after the inmates, interacted with them and discussed their issues. Delhi Social Welfare Minister visited the entire complex to check their dining area, drinking water facility, kitchen, medical facility etc, checked the food quality also being provided to them. Renovation work is going on and minister asked to expedite the completion of dining room and CCTV to be installed at the earliest. "Green area has to be developed fully, as it will give them fresh air and clean environment," he added. An eye camp for Leprosy affected persons residing in HLTB Tahirpur was also organised by the department of Social welfare on Saturday, where, 96 residents got benefitted by getting eye check up, medicine and spectacles.
