Tribune News ServiceNew Delhi, August 13A major fire broke out at a garments godown in East Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar this morning.
The fire broke out at the ground floor and first floor of the three storied building and it rapidly spread to other shops adjacent to the godown, fire department official said.
No fire extinguishers or fire -fighting equipment were installed at the cloth godown, alleged the chief fire officer.
Fire tenders had also faced difficulties to reach the spot as the market was congested one, alleged fire department official.
The Gandhi Nagar market is one of the most congested areas of the Capital with a number of factories and residential houses.
