NEW DELHI: With Delhi Assembly elections within six months, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Friday took the opportunity of his birthday to address the workers and volunteers where he boasted the fact that the AAP will win all the 70 seats in the upcoming election. "I want to thank the AAP workers for their contribution towards the party. In last assembly elections, we won 67 seats but this time we will win all 70 seats," he said. While the observers see this as the clarion call for the upcoming election, the party leader has claimed this just a general wish. After the Lok Sabha poll, the Delhi Chief Minister and AAP have also changed the approach towards various political issues. A section of political observers termed that CM Kejriwal has become softer on the Modi led Centre. In the Lok Sabha Election, the ruling AAP stayed at the third position in Delhi. While the party claimed that people voted for the centre, the opposition BJP and Congress took advantage of the situation to prepare for the battle of Vidhan Sabha. For the upcoming Vidhan Sabha election in Delhi, the AAP to now keep focus on strengthening the ground level connect for the coming two to three months. The party is also working on strengthening the various frontal organisation. Lastly, the party will look into the performance of all the MLAs thereafter the distribution of tickets will be decided. According to Delhi State convenor and cabinet minister Gopal Rai, a team will be formed by the state unit to monitor this programme. A team shall be constituted in each Vidhan Sabha area to track the progress at the local level. Leader of Opposition in Delhi Vijender Gupta, his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee, former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren and BJP MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar, among others who greeted Kejriwal on his birthday. "Wishing you a very happy birthday, Arvind ji," Banerjee tweeted. "Thank u so much Didi," replied Kejriwal. Gupta also wished Kejriwal on his birthday. "I wish Arvind Kejriwal ji on his birthday. I wish you a long and healthy life," he said.
