Iraqi national duped of Rs 8 2L

Gurugram: For the second time in less than three days, the crooks have been able to successfully target another foreign national. This time the criminals targeted an Iraqi youth and successfully extracted 11,400 dollars (Rs 8.2 lakh) from the victim. In the previous case where the criminals were succeeded in stealing Rs 1.6 lakh from another Iraqi couple that had come to the city for the medical treatment. Barely two months ago a Singaporean has also duped in the same manner wherein the name of doing necessary checks the criminals who were disguised as policemen. Surprisingly the criminals have adopted a same trend of disguising themselves and in effect stealing huge money from the victims.

This time the criminals targeted an Iraqi youth and successfully extracted 11,400 dollars (Rs 8.2 lakh) from the victim. In what may appear to be a work of well-knit syndicated gang the same modus operandi adopted of being disguised as policemen, stopping the foreign nationals for necessary checks and then committing the robbery. In the previous case where the criminals were succeeded in stealing Rs 1.6 lakh from another Iraqi couple that had come to the city for the medical treatment. The victim who was targeted by the crooks this time has been identified by Adil. The incident occurred at Sector-40 on Monday night. The brazenness of the incident can be gauged from the fact that the criminals were able to target his victim at a place that is just a few meters away from the main police post. Barely two months ago a Singaporean has also duped in the same manner wherein the name of doing necessary checks the criminals who were disguised as policemen. According to law enforcement officials there is a well-syndicated network which is working in the city that is specifically focussed on targetting people who come from other countries. Not only are they being tracked physically but even in the digital means, the criminals have been able to get a strong foothold. According to the official data in just six months,s there have been forty two cases of foreign nationals being cheated. Surprisingly the criminals have adopted a same trend of disguising themselves and in effect stealing huge money from the victims. A hub for medical facilities and multinationals, a lot of other countries often frequent Gurugram, the criminals are now successfully targeting them and robbing a cash amount that is more in lakh.
