Man kills wife after having heated argument in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: A 30-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her husband after a heated argument broke out between them in Khora area of Ghaziabad, police said on Wednesday. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Neelam, a resident of Prashant Garden area in Khora and works as house help. "The accused killed his wife on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, when she was sleeping with her children. Sandeep Singh, Station House Officer of Khora police station said that Raju killed her wife with a heavy iron rod and has been absconding at the moment. On Sunday, he came to Khora to meet his wife and children," said Singh.

Cops said that the accused hit his wifes head with iron rod and fled away from the spot. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Neelam, a resident of Prashant Garden area in Khora and works as house help. The accused has been identified as Raju Kumar, who works with a private company in Dubai and had come to India around two months back. The incident came to light on Wednesday morning, when victims children found her lying in a pool of blood on her bed. "The accused killed his wife on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, when she was sleeping with her children. Around 9 am on Wednesday, when the children woke up, they found their mother lying in a pool of blood on another bed. The children immediately rushed to neighbors for help who informed police about the incident," said police. Sandeep Singh, Station House Officer of Khora police station said that Raju killed her wife with a heavy iron rod and has been absconding at the moment. "The accused has been staying in Dubai and was working with a private company there. Around two months ago he had come to India and had been staying with a relative in Unnao district. On Sunday, he came to Khora to meet his wife and children," said Singh. "Preliminary investigations into the case revealed that the accused used to fight with his wife on pity issues. Also the house where the deceased woman lived was on her name and the accused always wanted to get it transferred on his name so that he can sell it. Meanwhile, we have registered an FIR against Raju under the section 302 (punishment for murder) of IPC," said Singh. The accused is absconding as of now but we are making efforts to nab him at the earliest," added Singh.
