Noida Traders protest against e commerce

Noida: Agitated over increased shopping on online shopping portals during the festive season, members of UP Yuva Vyapar Mandal in Noida carried out protest and burnt effigies of popular online shopping portals like- Amazon and Flipkart at Barola market on Monday. The protesters said that the business has suffered due to rising popularity of online shopping platforms that give heavy discounts especially around festivals. Sushil Kumar Jain, conveyor, NCR Confederation of All India Traders said that the e-commerce has broken the backbone of merchants this season as despite festival like Diwali there is inactive market across the country including Noida.
