Gzb inspector transferred for objectionable post on WhatsApp

Ghaziabad: A former PRO of Ghaziabad SSP has been transferred to Gorakhpur after he raised questions on the transfer and postings of corrupt cops at police stations of the district. Inspector Pankaj Kumar, on November 12, sent some objectionable posts on a media WhatsApp group alleging that the present SSP has allowed posting of corrupt police officials as SHO in police stations around the district. Kumar raised questions how police officer like Deepak Sharma, Laxmi Chauhan got the police station when honest and brave police officers are waiting for their number in police line. However, SSP Ghaziabad, Sudhir Kumar Singh, had ordered a probe into the matter which was headed by SP city, Ghaziabad. During probe it came to light that Kumar intentionally made the post viral without any proof against any of the cops whom he alleged to be corrupt.

Kumar took names of four police officials who have been posted as SHO of some important police stations in the district and highlighted these officers as corrupt. Later the messages were deleted from the group and Kumar presented a clarification into the matter saying that he had received these messages from some other number and was trying to delete all these posts but unfortunately it was forwarded to media groups. However, SSP Ghaziabad, Sudhir Kumar Singh, had ordered a probe into the matter which was headed by SP city, Ghaziabad. During probe it came to light that Kumar intentionally made the post viral without any proof against any of the cops whom he alleged to be corrupt.
