12 year old child reunited with family

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police PCR van has reunited a 12-year od school child with his parents after the child was lost in Delhi's Badarpur area. The MPV staff found a mobile number written on a note-book. Then MPV staff contacted the Sarpanch who passed the information to the father of the child. In the meanwhile cousin of the child reached at the spot and recognised the child and the traced child also identified him as his cousin. After due verification the child was handed over to the cousin of the child in the presence of local police," said Sharat Kumar Sinha, DCP PCR.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police PCR van has reunited a 12-year od school child with his parents after the child was lost in Delhis Badarpur area. The PCR noticed a schoolboy sitting alone in school uniform on Mathura Road, Delhi in distressed condition and found him crying. On enquiry, the child revealed his name and further revealed himself to be a resident of village Ranoli district Karoli Rajasthan but he did not remember any mobile number of his parents or relatives. He also stated that he came to visit Delhi on November 18 since then he was wandering here and there. The Mobile Patrol Van staff searched his school bag. The MPV staff found a mobile number written on a note-book. They contacted on the number and found the number to be of a veterinary hospital staff who gave the mobile number of Sarpanch of village Ranoli. Then MPV staff contacted the Sarpanch who passed the information to the father of the child. "He was very much excited to know that his missing son has been traced and he directed his nephew who lives in Delhi to contact PCR staff. The MPV staff made a self call. In the meanwhile cousin of the child reached at the spot and recognised the child and the traced child also identified him as his cousin. After due verification the child was handed over to the cousin of the child in the presence of local police," said Sharat Kumar Sinha, DCP PCR.
