Nine fresh cases in GB Nagar total 26

G B NAGAR: Nine new Coronavirus positive cases have been confirmed by Gautam Buddh Nagar district Health depart- ment on Saturday taking thetotal number to 26. "Four persons, including an 11-year-old girl, all from the same family were tested posi- tive with the virus on Saturday. All the atients have been shifted to GIMS in Greater Noida and agovernment hospital in sector 39, Noida. These four new cases had the same source and were infected from a 37-years-old man of their family who along with his 62-years-old mother were tested Covid-19 positive on March 22. The CMO added that five other cases were of mployees of a fire safety manufacturing unit in sector 135 where 13 per- sons have been infected till now.

Officials said that out of the total nine cases, five were traced to be affected from the same source while four others were members of a same family and all were infected by one of their family members who had recently returned from Denmark. "Four persons, including an 11-year-old girl, all from the same family were tested posi- tive with the virus on Saturday. All these people were infected from a man who had returned from Denmark on March 9. All the atients have been shifted to GIMS in Greater Noida and agovernment hospital in sector 39, Noida. Nearly 45 more per- sons who were in contact with this amily are under observa-tion and being tested," said Dr Anurag Bhargav, CMO. These four new cases had the same source and were infected from a 37-years-old man of their family who along with his 62-years-old mother were tested Covid-19 positive on March 22. The CMO added that five other cases were of mployees of a fire safety manufacturing unit in sector 135 where 13 per- sons have been infected till now. These new patients include companys managing director, and four other mployees, one each from Arun Vihar and Jay- pee Wishtown and two from Achheja village in Dadri area of Greater Noida," Dr Bhargav added.
