n a major relief for property owners, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has announced a 10 per cent rebate on property tax for those who make their payments on or before June 30, 2025. This discount is also available on service charges for Government properties. The NDMC has urged all taxpayers including Government institutions, semi-Government bodies, and private property owners to take advantage of the early payment window and avoid the last-minute rush. Officials said timely payments would not only help property owners save money but also contribute towards NDMCs mission to transform the capital into a clean, smart, and world-class city. According to NDMC, the property tax assessment list for all lands and buildings under its jurisdiction has been completed and authenticated as per Section 70 of the NDMC Act, 1994. The list was made public through a notice issued on April 16, 2025. Additionally, taxpayers can now view their property details online by visiting the NDMCs official website www.ndmc.gov.in. Users need to log in using their user ID and password to check their tax bills and assessment status. Physical copies of the property tax bills have already been dispatched to property owners. However, in case any taxpayer has not received their bill yet, they can collect a duplicate copy from the office of the Accounts Officer (Tax). To make the payment process smoother and more accessible, NDMC has also enabled online payment facilities. Property owners are encouraged to use the digital platform to pay their dues conveniently from anywhere. Officials have advised taxpayers not to wait until the last date to pay their taxes, as counters may get crowded closer to the deadline. Early payment will ensure a smooth process and help citizens take full advantage of the 10 per cent rebate. NDMC also emphasised that the revenue collected through property taxes is crucial for maintaining civic amenities and infrastructure in the city. Prompt tax payments will help NDMC continue its work towards making New Delhi a model capital city that meets global standards.
