South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Thursday compared the achievements of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government over the past 11 years to the towering height of the worlds tallest Chenab Bridge, calling the development inclusive and transformational. Speaking at a press conference, Bidhuri said that the impact of PM Modi governments schemes has been felt by every section of society across the country. Highlighting key decisions such as the removal of Article 370, abolition of triple talaq, CAA, Digital India, and womens reservation, Bidhuri said only the Modi government had the conviction to implement such historic measures. He added that Indias global stature rose significantly during the Covid pandemic, with the country emerging as a role model. The press conference was attended by several Delhi BJP leaders, including State Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, Mehrauli District In-charge Rajiv Babbar, and South District BJP President Maya Bisht, among others. Bidhuri cited the successful implementation of welfare schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, and free ration for 80 crore citizens. He claimed Delhi alone has seen unprecedented development under Modis leadership—ranging from roads, highways, and expressways to major infrastructure projects like Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan Tunnel, and AIIMS expansion. Focusing on South Delhi, he highlighted the new 6-lane Delhi-Vadodara highway, flyovers at Meethapur Chowk, and the 885-acre eco park in Badarpur. He also lauded the Shiv Murti-Mahipalpur tunnel project and the completed Dhaula Kuan flyover as major traffic-easing solutions. Bidhuri credited the current triple-engine BJP governance—at the Centre, state, and MCD—for rapid progress, stating that Delhis stalled projects were now being fast-tracked. He praised Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme with increased coverage and launching the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. Concluding, Bidhuri asserted that the BJP is focused on cleaning the Yamuna, curbing waterlogging, modernising public health and transport, and making Delhi a world-class capital, adding, The era of hollow claims is over. The era of work has begun.
