VP Dhankhar to inaugurate AIU VCs conference in Noida

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar is scheduled to inaugurate the National Conference of Vice Chancellors to be organised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) at Noida campus of Amity University on Monday. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and several top academicians from across the globe are also scheduled to grace the occasion which is to mark 100 years of establishment of AIU. Patel will be the Chief Guest during Valedictory Session of the conference to be attended by around 300 Vice Chanc-ellors from all over India in person and about 200 Vice Chancellors will attend the conference through virtual mode. Addressing the Curtain Raiser Press Conference, Dr (Mrs) Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), said the National Conference of Vice Chancellors marks a significant milestone in AIUs 99-year journey of fostering academic dialogue and shaping policy in Indian higher education. This years theme, Envisioning Future Higher Education: The Pivotal Role of India, reflects AIUs commitment to positioning India as a global leader in education, innovation, and sustainable development. With 1086 member universities, including 19 Foreign Universities, and the esteemed presence of VP Jagdeep Dhankhar, this conference is a testament to AIUs enduring role in nation building through higher education, Mittal said. Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor AUUP, said Amity University is extremely honoured and delighted to host the National Conference of Vice Chancellors on the occasion of the centenary of AIU. Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, President, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), mentioned that with a collective spirit of purpose this is a moment not just to reflect on our journey, but to boldly shape the future of Indian higher education. The conference will also be attended by officials from various Government of India ministries, and representatives from apex bodies such as AICTE, NAAC, NDSC, ICAR, among others, as speakers.
