Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday inaugurated the new Mukhyamantri Jan Seva Sadan at 2/8 Raj Niwas Marg, Civil Lines. The CM said that it will serve as the centre for every citizens concern, hope, suggestion and resolution. CM Gupta added that this new facility is an extension of the tradition of public participation, transparency and accountability, built on the foundation of peoples trust. She described it as a new chapter in public welfare, launched with the support, affection and blessings of Delhis citizens. She appealed to the public to embrace this centre as a symbol of service, resolution and commitment-where every complaint gets addressed, every voice gets a response and every citizen receives full respect. The Chief Minister explained that the Mukhyamantri Jan Seva Sadan has been established by the Delhi Government with the objective of direct communication with the people, institutionalising public hearings and ensuring timely redressal of grievances. She further elaborated that the sadan is a dedicated platform where citizens can directly submit their grievances, suggestions and participate in public hearings. A coordinated system will be implemented under the presence of senior officials to ensure prompt resolution of issues. Chief Minister stated that the Mukhyamantri Jan Seva Sadan will serve as a strong bridge of trust between the people and the Government. It offers facilities such as public hearings, grievance redressal, suggestion registration and consultations — all under one roof. Our aim is to ensure that no resident of Delhi has to run from pillar to post with their problems; instead, they can come directly to this centre and receive a timely resolution. And at present also, Chief Minister holds Jansunwaiin the morning at her residence in Shalimar Bagh. She said that in past Government, there was a communication gap between the Government and the public. Our Government wants to assure people that their voice will reach the Government directly and every issue will be addressed swiftly. She concluded by assuring that no Delhi resident will have to run from pillar to post with their problems anymore. The Mukhyamantri Jan Seva Sadan is open for them. This initiative is a step toward strengthening democracy at the grassroots level. Delhi Law Minister Kapil Mishra said Jan Seva Sadan is where the chief minister will hear public grievances. Mishra also claimed that this is the first time that the Delhi CMs office has been made open to the public. The office inauguration featured a havan, attended by Gupta and her family. Renovation work is on at the other bungalow, where Gupta, who currently lives in north Delhis Shalimar Bagh, is scheduled to move to.
