Rain to ease from today, temp to rise

The maximum temperature might be back to 35 to 36 degree Celsius within next three to four days,” said a Met department official.The maximum and minimum temperature recorded on Monday was at 26.7 degrees Celsius and 23.3 degrees Celsius, respectively. Officials said that temperatures will rise to 30 degree Celsius on Tuesday. There is only a slight difference between the city’s AQI level and that of other cities in the NCR. As per the data available on Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), AQI was recorded at 83 in Gurugram, while in Delhi it was 52, in Noida it was 48.

The Met department, however, has said that the temperature is likely to rise Tuesday onwards as the sky has cleared up and there is much possibility of rain in coming days.While the pollution levels remained within the satisfactory levels, the city reported the worst air quality index (AQI) in NCR on Monday. As per the data available on Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), AQI was recorded at 83 in Gurugram, while in Delhi it was 52, in Noida it was 48. AQI in Faridabad and Ghaziabad were recorded at 68 and 43 respectively.However, the highest level of PM2.5 in the city remained at 53 micrograms per cubic metre . “Like in other parts of NCR, the air is clean in Gurugram too. There is only a slight difference between the city’s AQI level and that of other cities in the NCR. It depends on various factors like traffic congestion on Monday or some atmospheric changes. However, clean air before the onset of winter is definitely good news,” said an official of Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB).According to the Met department, the maximum temperature can go up by three to four degrees on Tuesday and by about seven to nine degrees Thursday onwards. “The intensity of rain will weaken from Tuesday. The maximum temperature might be back to 35 to 36 degree Celsius within next three to four days,” said a Met department official.The maximum and minimum temperature recorded on Monday was at 26.7 degrees Celsius and 23.3 degrees Celsius, respectively.
