Man on scooter dies in hit-&-run crash on NH8

Gurgaon: A man who was going to Signature Tower from Huda City Metro station on his scooter died after being hit by a vehicle on NH8 near KR Mangalam School at 8pm on Saturday. He suffered severe head injuries. Passersby rushed him to Medanta hospital, where he was declared dead on Sunday, police said.The victim, identified as Anil Singh (30), a resident of Palam Vihar, was a supervisor in a private company in Sushant Lok.Anils paternal cousin, Prakash Singh, said, Police informed us about the incident around 8:30pm, and we rushed to the hospital where he was admitted. We then filed a complaint at sector 40 police station on Sunday.Sub Inspector Joginder from sector 40 police station said, Victims bike lost balance due to impact from the collision, hitting the footpath.
