This waste accumulates in the sewer network, causing sewage overflow. According to Metrowater data, the highest number of sewer blocks due to solid waste is in the Kodambakkam zone, followed by the Teynampet zone. The remaining bridge construction work in the KCB areas will be initiated by PCMC after the electricity work is completed. The bridge will have five spans covering about 150 metres and is scheduled to be finished by March 2024. The new poles will ensure a safe height of over 100 feet for the high-voltage lines, which are crucial for military establishments like Ammunition Factory Khadki and High Explosives factories. Bopkhel village, situated between defence establishments, has been facing inconvenience due to the delayed bridge work, forcing residents to take detours via Vishrantwadi. The bridge construction work has been slow, causing difficulties for students and working professionals who have to take longer routes to reach their destinations.Persecutions parallel linesJewish intellectual leaders like Bruno Bauer and Theodore Herzl advocated assimilation with the dominant culture, but persecution in the 19th century led to the development of a parallel Jewish culture. This gave birth to Zionism, which has had profound cultural repercussions. The ideal Jewish male shifted from a gentle intellectual to a physically strong individual. The Nazis belief in Aryan racial purity and anti-Semitic cartoons reflected pre-existing prejudice. Arthur Ruppin, known as the father of Israeli Sociology, promoted a pseudo-scientific theory of a pure Jewish race, influencing important Zionist leaders. Similar imitative parallel movements can be seen in other parts of the world.
