Dense fog will be mainly present in the late night and early morning hours of the day, IMD said in its advisory. On Tuesday, residents woke up to overcast skies with drizzle at some places. No active western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India for the rest of the week. A gradual fall of 2-4 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature is very likely over many parts of northwest India after the next two days, said an IMD official.Severe winter is likely to start setting in from December 15 onwards, as northwesterly winds are likely to bring cold air from the Himalayan region, the official added.
