Gang attacks vendor, snatches his truck on Dwarka e-way

Gurgaon: A group of miscreants allegedly attacked a vegetable vendor and snatched his truck on the Dwarka Expressway flyover, near Narsinghpur early on Saturday.Complainant Aman Kumar told police that he was on his way home from Khandsa market after delivering vegetables when the incident occurred. As he reached Dwarka Expressway near Hero Honda Chowk around 1.30am, a car approached his truck and stopped him by blocking his way, Kumar said.Two of the cars four passengers then got out and climbed into his truck, he added.One of them pushed me from the drivers seat and started driving. Meanwhile, the other one put a hand on my mouth so that I wouldnt scream. They took the SPR and, near the SPR Police Chowki, they forcibly threw me out of my truck. They snatched my truck that carried valuable items including an android phone, driving license, my fathers Aadhar card and voter card, Kumar said.After the accused fled with his truck, Kumar borrowed a passerbys phone and called the police to inform them of the incident. Cops came to pick him up from the spot and brought him to the police station.An FIR was registered under sections 379 A (snatching) and 34 (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC at the Sector 37 police station on Saturday and an investigation is underway, police said.The cameras across the incident spot are being checked thoroughly. This incident adds to the rising number of accidents on the expressway, with 51 fatalities recorded this year.Four persons injured after truck hits six vehicles in PuneA truck driver lost control while overtaking a vehicle on the Katraj - Dehu road bypass and caused a chain of accidents involving a bus, a car, a pick-up truck, and a dumper truck. The dumper truck fell on its side, blocking the bypass for nearly two hours. Four injured individuals were taken to a private hospital in Narhe for treatment. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) used cranes to clear the damaged vehicles from the road.
