2 security guards stop cab driver, thrash him outside office building

Gurgaon: A 24-year-old cab driver was thrashed by two security guards who worked at a corporate building in Sector 21 on November 30, police said. Complainant Joginder, who works a part-time driver with a cab service provider, told cops he had been on his way to drop off a passenger around 12pm last Thursday when he was stopped by the two guardstelling him to move back while verbally abusing him.When the passenger objected to their behaviour, the guards began punching the cars windshield, the complainant said.The duo then pulled him out of the car and thrash him. Passersby eventually rescued him from the guards, who then returned back to their work. Police and an ambulance were called to the spot and Joginder was brought to the Civil Hospital in Sector 10, where doctors referred him to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. He suffered four fractures as well as injuries to one of his eyes in the attack, which doctors said could lead to impairment in his vision, Joginder claimed.An FIR was filed against one accused, identified as Sunny, under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC at the Palam Vihar police station on Monday.We also published the following articles recentlyTraffic cop suffers injuries after car hit himA traffic constable named Mojkar was seriously injured after being hit by an unknown car while trying to stop it for violating traffic rules.
