Assam school bags award at British Council event

GUWAHATI: Suderashan Public School , Guwahati was the only school from the northeast to receive the British Council International School Award in a recently held ceremony in Delhi this year. We hope more schools enrol for the International School Awards and go on this global journey of creative learning with us." A total of 44 other schools from West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh were also awarded on the occasion. "These awards encourage schools to work with global citizenship values, offer a benchmark to teachers who want to offer best practices and learning practices, and recognize those who achieve excellence in these areas. The need is to move away from propositional to procedural learning.

The need is to move away from propositional to procedural learning. Students need to know 'why' and 'how', more than 'what' and 'when'. We hope more schools enrol for the International School Awards and go on this global journey of creative learning with us."
