Four Minor Boys Drown In Brahmaputra River

Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: Four minor boys with ages ranging from 12-14 years drowned in the Brahmaputra where they had gone to bath on Sunday. According to Noonmati police, four boys –Saidul Hussain, Sanidul Hussain, Nazir Ali and Nazirul Ali, all hailing from No 2 Nizarapara Ramsing Chapori under Noonmati police station – went to the river for bathing on Sunday. Soon a rescue operation by SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) and River police was conducted. While the bodies of three of the four boys were fished out by the rescuers, the fourth boy is yet to the found. However, they accidentally slipped and were carried away by the water current. Soon a rescue operation by SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) and River police was conducted. While the bodies of three of the four boys were fished out by the rescuers, the fourth boy is yet to the found.
