STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: Central Reserve Police Force remembers martyrs of last ten years. All the families of the Martyrs residing in Assam and Meghalaya are being visited by senior officers of the rank of IGP and DIGP. IGP CRPF North Eastern Sector Prakash D, visited two families in Assam today. “The welfare of the families of the martyrs will be taken care of by CRPF with utmost sincerity” he added. STAFF REPORTER GUWAHATI: Central Reserve Police Force remembers martyrs of last ten years. North East Sector CRPF has started a unique way of remembering its Martyrs and a list of all the slained soldiers has been updated for this purpose. All the families of the Martyrs residing in Assam and Meghalaya are being visited by senior officers of the rank of IGP and DIGP. Senior Officers are visiting the families of the deceased and are spending quality time with them. All the departmental dues and benefits are being cross checked if there are any problems, they are being solved with utmost sincerity and priority. Importance is given to health of the family members and education of the children of the martyrs. Gifts and sweets are also distributed to the families. IGP CRPF North Eastern Sector Prakash D, visited two families in Assam today. He was accompanied by Assistant Commandant Ajay Shekhar. The first family to be visited is the dependents of Shaheed Dhrub Jyoti Das who was killed in Chhattisgarh in the year 2010 in an operation with naxalites. IGP and other officers garlanded the picture of the Martyr and spent time with the soldiers parents at his residence. Santosh Upadhya, 2IC and Abdul Rahim, DC of 175 BN were also present. After this, the family of Apurva Deka was visited in Khetri. Cons Apurva Deka attained martyrdom in Aurangabad, Bihar in the year 2016. The mother and wife of the deceased were also met by Vimal Raj, 2Ic of 128 BN. The IGP said that the supreme sacrifice made by these martyrs cannot be forgotten. “The welfare of the families of the martyrs will be taken care of by CRPF with utmost sincerity” he added.
