So there is a great need to invoke the ideals of Gandhiji to tackle and face the current crisis. Everyone is aware of the fact that the CAA is a threat to Assamese identity. Hence Axom Nagarik Samaj will form a human chain in the city on the day of death anniversary of Gandhi to protest against CAA.” Educationist Apurba Kumar Baruah said that “theres a need to go into people and make them understand about the issues and that it is necessary to organize the spontaneous movement”. Baruah added, “We need to establish connection with the greater India and we need proper leadership to lead the people of Assam so that the spontaneous movement dont go in vain.” Appealing everyone to join the movement, the Nagarik Samaj said that – rather than focusing on the matter of division resulted because of oppression and luring , we must focus on the fact even after all these tactics played by the government the conscious people are still ignoring them and thus they are still struggling against the anti-Assam act.
