State government to provide lands to Karunadhara Trust in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today took part in the 10th foundation day programme of Karunadhara Trust in the city as the chief guest and announced that the State Government would provide appropriate lands to the Trust in Guwahati for setting up shelter homes for Divyangs. Speaking at the programme, the Chief Minister underlined the need to think for the society and asserted that every citizen must take up the responsibility along with the government to provide social and economic security to the Divyangs so that they could live a life of dignity. He also appreciated the role played by Karunadhara Trust for working towards providing succor to the disadvantaged sections of the society in the true spirit of Bhupen Hazarika's timeless song 'mauhe manuhor babe' and said that the Trust would serve as an inspiration to the people to selflessly work for the society.
