STAFF REPORTER GUWAHATI: As the entire nation is fighting to tackle the outbreak of coronavirus, a journalist from Sonapur has taken responsibility into his own hands by sanitizing an entire locality. Considering the deed as his social responsibility, Kamal Krishna Deka, sanitized around 30 houses a of the Malaybari Borpak area in a bid to aware the people about the preventive measures to be taken against the dreaded virus. Deka said that the sanitization drives conducted by the government with the funds extended by various organizations and individuals are not being escalated into interior areas. The disinfecting programs are only being done at major localities or roads and thus he decided to take the initiative into his own hands. Not only houses, Deka have also sanitized an entire school of the area on his own. His initiative is a perfect example about the necessity to be cautious as only hygiene and awareness are the only tools we have to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
