Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Manch (BJSM) president Janaklal Basumatary had demanded that the ST certificate of Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania be cancelled stating that it is ‘fake’.
Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Manch (BJSM) president Janaklal Basumatary had demanded that the ST certificate of Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania be cancelled stating that it is ‘fake’.
Basumatary during a press conference at Kokrajhar Press Club while addressing the reporters, Basumatary said, “The ST certificate of Naba Kumar Sarania should be immediately cancelled and step should be taken for a proper verification how he had received the ST certificate.”
BJSM president Basumatary said the Sarania community is not enlisted as a Scheduled Tribe in Assam. “Naba Kumar Sarania has been elected to the Lok Sabha by misleading the ST communities and he has been cheated the ST communities, he said.
Basumatary said some members of the Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Manch including him had filed a complaint with Gauhati High Court and Supreme Court against Sarania challenging his ST certificate.
