GUWAHATI: Even before the Kaziranga National Park could recover from the devastating floods that hit the sanctuary last month, it's in the grip of a fresh deluge. Park officials said at least 11 anti-poaching camps in the sanctuary have been inundated and the water level is rising. With the Brahmaputra in spate in the upper Assam districts, floodwaters started entering the 430-sq km world heritage site park, about 250 km from here, on Thursday. "If the situation turns alarming, we will again restrict speed limits on vehicles on the highway so as not to kill animals," he added. National highway 37, which passes along the southern boundary of Kaziranga, is used by the animals to cross over to higher grounds in neighbouring Karbi Anglong when the floods intensify.Over a hundred animals, including seven rhinos, perished in the floodwaters that hit Kaziranga last month.
