Locals pay no heed to Janata Curfew in parts of Karnataka

On April 30, Karnataka reported the highest-single day spike of 48,296 cases, while 217 fatalities.

Due to an exponential increase in Covid cases, ‘Janata Curfew’ had been imposed in Karnataka. However, people in Hubli seem to pay no heed to the curfew. They were at the market in large numbers with no fear of coronavirus. However, the officials were seen making announcements for locals to follow the Covid SOPs. Similarly, a jam-packed road was seen in Mangaluru, indicating that people are not following the curfew norms. On April 30, Karnataka reported the highest-single day spike of 48,296 cases, while 217 fatalities.
