A 26 year old man was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by his wife’s family for marrying against their wish
In a suspected case of honor killing a Hyderabad based 26 year old man was kidnapped before being murdered by his wife’s family members on Thursday. His body was dumped in neighboring Sangareddy district was later recovered by police.
The victim identified as Hemanth from Vysya community a resident of Chandanagar fell in love with Avanthi of Reddy community who was also a resident of same area. In month of July 2020 both Hemanth and Avanthi married against the wishe of Avanthi’s family. After the marriage, couple started living in TNGO’s colony in Gachibowli.
On Thursday morning of 24 September, family members of Avanthi decided to meet both of them in TNGO colony to sort out the differences. Hemanth on the contrary also informed his family about the meeting and asked them to join.
On reaching of Avanthi’s family both the couple was forcibly abducted by them from Gachibowli colony in the afternoon. However Avanthi managed to escape and informed the police about the incident.
Later on the night of day same, Hemanth body was recovered with his head smashed brutally, it was found frm an isolated place in Kishtayaguden a suburb of Sangareddy. The police has filed case and as per them maternal uncle of Avanthi is considered to main suspect. Police have taken 13 people in custody in connection with case.
As per DCP M Venkateshwarlu, Madhpur, ‘’Avanthi Reddy’s father and maternal uncle kindnapped Hemanth tied his hand and throttled him to death’’.
According to Avanthi, wife of the deceased ‘’my family members made me believe that they wil; not cause any harm and found out my address. They forcibly dragged us into car. My husband was sweet natured guy’’.
