GHMC To Revive Containment Zones in Hyderabad To Control Covid-19

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has identified several Covid-19 hotspots in the city.

Due to the recent spike in the number of Covid-19 cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has identified several Covid-19 hotspots in the city.

Total 684 cases have been registered in the last 24-hours in Telangana, while 184 cases were reported in Greater Hyderabad.

Golconda, Chandrayangutta, Malaket, Serilimgampally, Chintal Basti, LB Nagar, Himayatnagar, Kukatpally and Jeedimetla are the areas that have identified as hotspots.

The border districts of Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, and Rangareddy reported 61 and 45 cases of the virus in the last 24 hours.

The daily case count of the rest of the districts is Nizamabad(48), Nirmal(30), Nalgonda(24), Mahaboobnagar(23), Jagtiyal(19), Warangal Urban(17), Yadadri Bhongir(17), Khammam(17) and Suryapet(16).

The recent surge has taken the state tally to 3,07,889 cases while a total of 1697 succumbed to the virus.
