Hyderabad: FIR against Narasimhanand Saraswati, Who is the `hate-spewing` Saint?

Hyderabad police on Sunday filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Mahant Swami Yeti Narasimhanand Saraswati of Dasna Devi Temple in Ghaziabad for his alleged remarks against Prophet Mohammad.

The Humayun Nagar Police Station lodged an FIR under sections 153-A and 295-A of the IPC based on a complaint received by Jaffer Hussain Meraj, an AIMIM MLA from Nampally in Telangana.

Swami Yeti Narasimhanand Saraswati made the remarks during an event at the Press Club of India in Delhi.

Videos of priests using offensive language against Prophet Muhammad also surfaced on social media.

Yeti Narasimhanand Saraswati, who came in discussions after his statement on a video of a boy getting beaten at the Dasna temple went viral, is once again in the fray for his objectionable remarks against Islam and Prophet Mohammed.

Yeti Narasimhanand Saraswati is the Mahant of the Shiva Shakti Dham Dasna Temple in Ghaziabad. He considers former BJP MP BL Sharma his mentor. He is also called the National Convenor of the All India Saint Council. Apart from this, it is said about him that he has studied in Russia and has also worked in many places including Moscow and London.

A video of Narasimhanand Saraswati went viral in which he was describing former President and scientist Abdul Kalam as the number one jihadi. In the video, he says that Kalam gave Pakistan the Atom bomb formula, apart from this, he also said Hindu scientists were killed when Kalam was the President and DRDO chief.

A case was registered against him for giving a provocative speech in UP`s Sitapur on 21 October 2019, where he spoke on making India an Islam and Muslim-free country.
