In a shocking incident in the Kamareddy district of Telangana, A man walked carrying his dead wife on his shoulders towards the graveyard to bury her body; he pleaded for help all this time but neither did he get an ambulance nor anyone stepped to help him.

Swami and his wife were beggars and used to live near the Kamareddy railway station. Suddenly, Swami`s wife Nagalakshmi`s health deteriorated on Sunday evening and she died on the station premises. Swami sought help from the railway police, even auto drivers to somehow get a vehicle to take his wife`s body to a cemetery but everyone refused, assuming she died of Covid-19.

Due to the Covid-19 scare, people feared going even closer to the corpse. Yes, some people gave him money for the funeral. Nagalakshmi`s body was left alone on the road for a long time, when no one heard Swami`s request, he carried the body of his wife on his shoulder and walked towards a cemetery at Indiranagar.

On the way, Swami continued to plead for help. Swami also went to the local railway police but the police also ignored Swami by paying Rs 2,500 for the last rites. After reaching the cemetery, some people helped Swami dig the grave, he himself was ill. He was tired due to the weight of his wife`s body. On the way he stopped and rested in many places, then he was able to reach the cemetery somehow.
